DANDY RUTH LEVY-CULLINS

FIRST LADY

Dandy Ruth Levy-Cullins, Ph.D., is a woman with a heart for God and earnestly seeks to please Him in all of her ways. She serves as Women’s Ministry Director of A.W.E.S.O.M.E (Anointed Women Ever Seeking Our Master’s Excellence), Women’s Bible Study Teacher, and Grief Share Lay Leader, at the Solid Rock Baptist Church where her husband of 33 years, Dr. Ross McKinley Cullins, Sr., has served as Senior Pastor since 1986.

 

A native of Barrett Station, Texas and a graduate of Crosby High School, Dandy is a proud graduate of Texas Southern University in Houston, TX where she earned both a Bachelor’s & Master’s degree in Human Services & Consumer Sciences with a Concentration in Child & Family Development.

She received her Ph.D. in Family Studies from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. Dandy retired in 2021 from her position as Assistant Professor from her alma mater, Texas Southern University, where she taught 19 years in the area of Family & Consumer Sciences. Always a learner, she is currently completing the Jai Institute for Parenting Certification program to become a Parenting Coach. Dandy loves reading, traveling, studying the Word of God, teaching, writing, and prayer. In 2021 she became a published author through a collaboration with Ladymbooks and nine (9) other Christian women. Together they published a devotional book of prayers entitled “Women Praying: Collaborative Book of Prayers: Volume One”. She is currently working on completing her first solo book which she prayerfully hopes to finish in the very near future.

Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for prosperity and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." (NASB)


Matthew 5:16 – “You are like that illuminating light. Let your light shine everywhere you go, that you may illumine creation, so men and women everywhere may see your good actions, may see creation at its fullest, may see your devotion to Me, and may turn and praise your Father in heaven because of it.” (The Voice Bible)
